Who is the accrediting body?
All NCEF courses and modules are accredited by the University of Limerick (UL). On successful completion completion of the Studio Cycling specialist module, students will accumulate 15 ECTs credits.
University of Limerick Accredited.
15 European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) credits towards the Higher Certificate/ Diploma/B.Sc. in Exercise & Health Fitness through a flexible learning pathway and also towards other University qualifications in Europe who follow ECTS credit value system.

How much does it cost?
The course fee for the Studio Cycling specialist module is €1,195.00.
Payment Option 1
Full fee payment of €1,195 (inclusive of non-refundable deposit of €595.00) on submission of acceptance documents to the NCEF Head Office.
Payment Option 2
€595 non-refundable deposit due on submission of acceptance documents to the NCEF Head Office. Balance of €600 due to the NCEF Head Office 10 working days before the course commences.
Please note that once students are registered, all fees paid are non-refundable and non-transferable.
If you are completing this module as part of an overall programme e.g. Higher Certificate in Exercise & Health Fitness, the cost of this module is included in the full HCEHF Year 2 programme fees.
What am I qualified to do?
This specialist course is for qualified Fitness Instructors who wish to add to their skills and work as a Studio Cycling Instructor and work in a gym/leisure facility or teach Studio Cycling classes in the community or their own private gym/studio.
Certificate in Exercise & Health Fitness (CEHF) NFQ Level 6
NCEF/PEAI Level 1 National Certificate in Fitness & Exercise Instruction - Current and Recertified
You must also hold a PHECC First Aid Responder (formerly Occupational First Aid) qualification.
If you hold another health/fitness qualification from other institutions or bodies and relevant work experience in the fitness industry , we ask you to complete an
RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) application form which is a common route of entry onto NCEF courses.
A cost of €125 applies to ALL RPL applicants on application, however if you are successful and offered a place on your chosen course, this fee is then deducted from the cost of overall programme fees.

Where and when can I do this course?
All content, including lectures, handouts, sample assessments, videos etc. will be delivered and accessed through a specially developed e-learning hub. You will also have one contact day to attend in the University of Limerick.
This e-learning website will contain tutorials on all the theoretical aspects along with short electronic self-assessments which will allow students to gauge their progress as they work through the module.
Course start dates are as follows:
Spring 2020: Commences Monday 20th January, Finishes 26th April 2020
Summer 2020: Commences Tuesday 5th May 2020, Finishes Mid-August 2020
Autumn 2020: Commences Monday 7th September 2020, Finishes Mid December 2020
