Alan Hayles is an NCEF graduate and a Sergeant in the Irish Defence Forces, based in the Air Corps Baldonnell since 1994. He has completed various tours including Lebanon, Kosovo & Bosnia and Alan's current position within the Air Corps is the planning & coordination of fitness testing and training exercises for over 800 personnel.
Alan’s background in fitness began at a very young age, representing Ireland in Tae Kwon Do up to the age of 17, swimming in the Leinster Schools competition for 3 years and playing soccer at a high level.
Alan's NCEF story began when he completed the UL accredited Certificate in Exercise & Health Fitness in 2009 and since then he has continued his professional development with Spinning© TRX©, kettlebells and sports massage, whilst also instructing for Bootcamp Ireland for 5 years. Alan also holds a record for completing the Dublin City Marathon in full military uniform and backpack!
We are now delighted to have Alan imparting his vast knowledge, experience and passion for exercise & fitness to our current Year 1 & 2 students in his capacity as a Master Trainer in Limerick & Dublin.
"As a past tutor of Alan's, what I have always admired is that he is a very organised individual and gives so much to any session he is training on but one of his many strengths is his approachability, his passion and his understanding, regardless of who or what he is instructing. Additionally, Alan has an excellent rapport with everyone. He is enthusiastic, humble and honest and he has excellent communication skills, which helps him connect with students of all ages". Grace Germaine, NCEF Course Leader for Year 2 Advanced Personal Training and Year 2 Strength & Conditioning
